HIGH PERFUMERY HOUSE SINCE 1904

Born in 1867, Ernest Daltroff was a great traveller. Passionate and intuitive, he memorised the captivating, heady scents of flowers, fruits and spices. He developed an exceptional olfactory sensitivity, which led him to choose the career of perfumer.

In 1904 he founded the House of Caron and set up shop at number 10 on Paris’ prestigious rue de la Paix. The High Perfumery company quickly revolutionised society and expanded throughout France, the United States and Latin America.

In 1906, he met the young fashion stylist Félicie Wanpouille. It was the start of a love story that would have a considerable influence on Caron fragrances. Complementary and inspired, they went on to pool their talents and invent charismatic, avant-garde fragrances.
